Forrest L. Preston is founder, sole shareholder, and chairman of the board of directors of Life Care Centers of America. Preston began his career in long-term care in 1970 when he built Garden Terrace Convalescent Center in Cleveland, Tennessee, as a model long-term care facility. Constructed to resemble a fine hotel or comfortable home, Garden Terrace established a formula for success that is still followed today. In 1976, growth mandated the creation of a management company - Life Care Centers of America, Inc., one of the largest health care management companies in the nation. Life Care has since grown to encompass more than 225 skilled nursing facilities in 28 states. |
